Every year, the Amala Foundation hosts the Global Youth Peace Summit; a camp for teenagers from all over the world to come and connect on a deep, human level. This was my first year at the summit, and in the week I was there I met a more diverse group of people than I have in my whole life. It is refreshing to take a break from the social masks everyone seems to put up and be as real as possible. As well as addressing larger-scale problems many people face in the world, we also searched into ourselves and found what had been stopping us from living a free life. It was an important lesson that I learned that changing the world starts with looking at ourselves, not anyone else.
