be careful with your words

A very important source we often don't give enough acknowledgement is news that doesn't come directly from the media but is passed through people. A friend of mine watches KAHS or hears an announcement from a teacher and passes it on to another friend, who passes it on to me and so on. Even though media is usually at the root of information, I often find out about things going on around campus or in Austin through my peers. The danger in this form of news is misunderstanding and misrepresenting. It isn't uncommon to hear a rumor and pass it on as a truth, starting a whole idea out of a complete fallacy. What your saying may seem to have no value to you, but its important to be impeccable with your word, as others may be holding what you say as a truthful source of information.
